The Story Behind

Twisted Daquiris

Some businesses are built on ideas. Ours was built on legacy.

Inspired by my grandmother, Rachel “Man-Maw”, and Uncle Red, this business was born from the values they instilled in me. Man-Maw was the heart of every gathering—her Southern hospitality evident in every warm embrace and home-cooked meal. She had a way of making people feel welcome, whether she was feeding them, offering wisdom, or playfully scolding them—always with love.

Uncle Red also significantly shaped my journey, taking me to Texas at a young age and introducing me to a culture that would later influence my vision... After losing them both, I knew I had to carry forward their spirits of generosity, resilience, and community. That’s why I created Rachel’s Place, my parent company, as a tribute to them. From that foundation, Twisted Daiquiris was born.

This business is bigger than me; it’s about honoring those who came before me and continuing their legacy of bringing people together. Just like Man-Maw welcomed everyone into her home with open arms and a pot of something delicious on the stove, Twisted Daiquiris brings people together one drink at a time, sharing the warmth, joy, and Southern spirit that she so effortlessly embodied.

Founder, Visionary, and Heart Behind Twisted

Born in South Bend, Indiana, Zikeia Walker has always had a deep love for community and connection. After moving to Houston, she found herself drawn to the rhythm of the South—its warmth, its people, and its signature daiquiri culture. It was in Houston that her entrepreneurial journey truly began, inspired by her beloved Uncle Red, who helped inspire her purpose and direction.

Zikeia’s roots in hospitality run deep. With over eight years of experience as a licensed professional bartender, she has built a reputation not just for crafting unforgettable cocktails but for creating spaces where people feel seen, celebrated, and cared for. Twisted is more than a mobile daiquiri bar—it’s a joyful extension of Zikeia’s mission to bring people together through flavor, fun, and genuine Southern hospitality.

Her mantra, “This is bigger than me,” is a tribute to her late grandmother, Rachel, and Uncle Red—two guiding lights whose influence continues to shape her work and her why. Through Twisted, Zikeia blends passion and purpose, offering a vibrant experience that’s both a nod to her Houston roots and a gift to her Indiana community.

Whether she’s serving drinks with a smile or mentoring fellow entrepreneurs, Zikeia is committed to uplifting others. A lifelong learner and adventurous spirit, she believes in the power of showing up—with intention, with excellence, and always with love.
